Applications are invited for a junior research fellow, leading to PhD, in a DST sponsored research project at Department of Physics, Govt.Victoria College, Palakkad.
Number of vacancy: 1
Period: 3 years
Qualifications: M.Sc. Physics/Materials Science with UGC-CSIR NET/JRFqualifications.
M.Sc./M.Phil. qualified students will be considered inthe absence of NET/JRF qualified candidates.
Fellowship: Rs. 8000 -16000 per month, based on the qualifications+10% of fellowship amount as HRA
Benefits: Selected fellow has to work on a research project entitled
“Investigation of doped copper oxide for p-channel thin film transistor application”, sponsored by DST, Govt. of India.
Departmentof Physics, Govt.Victoria College, Palakkad is a recognized research centre of University of Calicut and the fellow can register for PhD.
Objectives of the projectinclude, doping of copper oxide thin films to optimize the electrical and optical properties of the material to fabricate high performance p-type thin film transistors (TFT).
This project will be carried out in collaboration with a leading
research group in optoelectronic devices and the fellow will get access
to some of the modern material fabrication techniques like PLD,
RF sputtering, evaporation etc.. and characterisation tools like HRXRD, AFM, micro Raman, UV-Vis-IR Spectrophotometers, Hall Effect measurement system, Semiconductor parametric analyser etc..
Genuinely interested candidates are requested to send their application along with detailed CV (including educational qualifications and research experience, if any) to:
